WHAT

The RACE is a unique training programme developed and delivered by the Academy and EIT RawMaterials Partners.

RACE 2019 is a two-week, challenge-based learning journey across the raw materials value chain, taking place at four leading industry and municipal hosts across Europe. Theme for the RACE 2019 is “Raw Materials for Future Mobility”.

During the RACE and at each location, you will:
•Obtain new insights on challenges and trends, from leading experts from industry, academia and policy
•Experience first-hand how raw materials are transformed into Future Mobility applications at study tours at each host
•Develop and pitch technological, economically-feasible and societal-relevant solutions to Future Mobility challenges along the value chain, together in multi-disciplinary teams
•Matchmake with potential employers, from RACE 2019 experts, hosts and facilitators

All transportation, accommodation and subsistence costs will be covered by the EIT RawMaterials Academy!

WHEN

RACE 2019 will take place on 18-31 August 2019.

WHERE

Four countries across Europe, hosted by four leading industrial and municipal actors pioneering Future Mobility. Locations and hosts to be announced soon!

WHO

Master students studying a raw materials related discipline at an EIT RawMaterials partner OR Master students carrying out thesis research on a raw materials related topic at an EIT RawMaterials partner. Please note PhD students may also submit an application, but priority will be given to Master students.
